BTSC ITI Instructor Exam Pattern 2026
To be selected as a BTSC ITI Instructor, candidates will have to go through a Written Exam. A merit list will be prepared for the applicants who score well in this exam. They will then be called for the next stages before being formally selected for the BTSC ITI Instructor profile. All the questions in the written examination will be of objective nature with multiple choice questions.
- There will be a total of 100 questions.
- 80 of these questions will be based on knowledge of the field for which the candidate has applied.
- The remaining 20 questions will be on General Studies and Current affairs.
- The examination will be conducted as a Computer Based Test in more than one shift.
- There will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer
- The total duration of the test will be 2 hours or 120 minutes

Minimum Qualifying Marks for BTSC ITI Instructor Exam
The marks obtained by candidates in the Written Examination, after normalization, will be used to prepare a merit list and for deciding which candidates will move to the next stage of the selection process. If the candidates do not get the minimum qualifying marks according to their category in the written examination, their candidature will not be accepted for further rounds of the selection process. The BTSC considers a number of factors while recruiting candidates for the BTSC ITI Instructor position. The respective areas and the marks considered for each of them have been mentioned below for the reference of candidates.
